Leornard Nimoy To Appear In Fringe

I have to say that JJ Abram's "Fringe" was one of my favourite new programmes of 2008. Not only is it the "New X-Files" but the story lines each week, plus the ongoing subplot, are inventive and well executed, the cast members are fantastic (Walter Bishop is my new favourite T.V. Character of all time, next to Roger the Alien in American Dad of course!) and the show is an overall damn enjoyable bit of telly.

What's even better for me and the horde of Fringe fans out there is that news has just been released that sci-fi legend Leonard Nimoy is set to appear in the finale of season one next month!

The legend that is Leonard Nimoy

After collaborating on his upcoming Star Trek reboot, Abrams has signed Leonard Nimoy to join the cast as William Bell, Walter Bishop's former lab partner-turned-millionaire founder of Massive Dynamic (a character we've heard a lot about in season one but have so far never seen in person).

The 78-year-old Trek icon is slated to debut in next month's season finale and then return in the fall for an extended arc.

Let's hope that Nimoy's addition will help the show to "live long and prosper"... sorry, had to do that.

Oh and as a side note, if you're a Nimoy fan and are in the UK during June the 5th til June the 7th why not pop along to Collectormania 15 which is being held in the Milton Keynes "Stadium MK" as he will be attending to show for autographs and photo sessions! Entry is free but expect to pay between 15 GBP and 50 GBP for his autograph.

I'll be there!
